brano – review and dinner ideas
Cocoa Beach has a large number of restaurants to choose from and actually a good number of Italian joints. We popped in here because they have snails on the app menu and Mark was craving… SNAILS!! When we walked in we had high hopes, the atmosphere was great and plenty of social distancing.
Short story – not good
The restaurant has so much potential and maybe outside of this pandemic it might be good. Right now it is lacking in so many ways. Maybe we might give it another try… in 2021. You should definitely give them a try, maybe it was an off day. They do have early bird specials and happy hour.
Waiter was very nice… and he is probably the reason we decided to say nothing. Usually we are the type of people to have a situation fixed on the spot – not a fan of paying for bad / wrong food – but there were just too many issues. It just might be easier to make a list….
- The wall in the booth was filthy.
- Menu’s were dirty.
- Both kids soda’s were… “off”… leading us to think the soda machine was not working properly. We still do not know what Saoirse was drinking.
- My drink – was not what I ordered and tasted like syrup.
- My steak – burnt – literally the worst steak I had ever had
- mashed potatoes – tasted like the kind you get from the tub at the grocery store – this would have been fine if I were on my couch in PJ’s but not for the price of the meal.
- Mark’s duck – worst he has ever had – dryer than dry – he compared it to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Xmas dinner Turkey.
- Paddy’s plain buttered pasta – he said it tasted funny… this kid lives on buttered pasta and if he didn’t eat it… then we should have taken this as a sign and left… haha
- Tiny’s Raviolis… she ate then too fast to have an opinion
- Side Salad’s – my god – horrid – they were plated maybe 2 days ago. The cucumbers were so slimy and see thru.
Now that I am looking at this all… I regret saying nothing at the time. Maybe I will give them a call and let them know.
- bread provided when we sat was good… grateful they brought 2 baskets because that ended up being my dinner
why did the snail paint an “S” on the side of his vehicle?
