George’s Wine Bar… order this & you are full for the day…
Disney Springs has a large selection of food joints, everything from loaded POUTINE on the go to a more refined selection of meats and cheese. We made a reservation for George’s Wine Bar for their brunch menu and oh my goodness we were not disappointed.
We of course had to start with the large board. Saoirse and Mark basically destroyed this board like savages! Padraig to our surprised upgraded from the cheddar cheese to the brie… we were all shocked! Mark was very excited about his glass of Frog’s Leap. This week the boy turns 11… so this mama celebrated by enjoying a glass of Digby… DELICIOUS!!!
Brunch – the reason we came. We all ordered something different and Saoirse to our surprise ordered the most boring meal, but she just loved a plain egg from time to time. Paddy ordered the biscuits and gravy which came with crispy bacon on top. We were all instructed to take bites of this… it was amazing. No extra black pepper needed, which if you read our other reviews is VERY rare. Burrata was Mark’s selection… he loved it and I thought it was just beautifully prepared. French Toast…. I could eat this everyday. The caramel sauce they put on this was over the top amazing. Bacon… perfect! We love crispy – but not burnt bacon and they nailed it!!!!
We will be back for lunch and dinner in the future. The also have a to go section outside called “The Basket”. You can order a drink on the go or build a picnic basket to go. Hello…. what a cute “date night” when you can’t get a reservation!
Side Note – When we sat down we were given these cute little bags to hold our masks. We all thought it was a super cute idea!
NO NECK GATORS… need to be a 2 layered mask to get in! Guess what smokers… you can take your mask off to smoke… and then pull it up and breath in all the 2nd hand smoke you have not put all over your mask… ENJOY!
The left side is the restaurant and the right side is The Basket. The basket is the to go portion and you can even build a picnic basket to go.
Taking this almost 11 year old to another bday lunch.
wine selection is SERIOUS business.
Mark was VERY excited about this selection….
Cheers to this mama… little Digby in my glass to celebrate giving birth to this kid
You would have thought it was her birthday – she loves a good charcuterie board!
Bacon – Crispy and NOT burnt – NAILED IT!
