We recently stayed at Universal for Halloween Horror Nights and had a BLAST!!! We do find it is best to fully experience these special events at the parks when we stay overnight, it allows us to fully immersed in the moment. Yes, we decorate the room and do a few little extra for the kids, no we do not think it is over the top or too much.
For a short trip like this I am a fan of bringing breakfast for several reasons. First, the kids get to sleep in. Second, It is a huge time saver when they finally wake. Lastly, it is an easy money saver. This is a bit more work for me, but allows me to theme up there breakfast and everyone gets more “chill” time. Do what you can when you can.
Prior to our trip I prepped the deviled eggs and packed everything in the cooler and assembled them at the hotel. If you are looking for an easy way to make boiled eggs, try this machine. It makes multiple different kinds of eggs and peels every egg perfectly – EVERYTIME!!! The kids also had muffins, peeps and I served them in coffins from the Doller Tree. Check out our finds from the Dollar Tree… here. I do have a multi-spice pack I travel with that has the paprika, pepper and cayenne – love it!!! get it here.

ASSEMBLING THE BOILED EGGS
When traveling with eggs, wait to assemble them. It is best to dry them off before adding the “devil” in them. If you do not want to travel with a pastry tip, just cut a little hole in the corner of the bag and swirl. However, if you can travel with a pastry tip… then why not? If you can do “extra” then do extra!
