How to make the BEST Guava Pulled Pork is a refreshing change to crockpot recipes. This is a magical twist on pulled pork, marinated cooked in mojo and drizzled with magic guava sauce! This dish has all the guava goodness you can handle… sweet and savory! If you like a little spicy add some cayenne pepper!
We served the pulled pork with Spanish rice, plantains and black beans. The rice and the pork were a perfect pair. If you have never made plantains… you need to NOT make from scratch… just “Go with GOYA” on this one.
Looking for an amazing guava dessert… try the guava bread recipe below.
Ingredients for magic guava sauce for pulled pork
We made the sauce on the stove and added AFTER the pork cooked in the mojo – if you want to use this recipe as a dump and go – add al the guava and dump it all in the crockpot.
Slow cook the pork in a mojo marinade
We highly suggest you sear the pork first
Make the magical guava sauce
Pull the pork and then put the magical guava sauce on it.
you can throw all the ingredients into the crockpot if you want – i would just add more guava – it is nt as good that way – but still yummy as hell.
