metro diner – all about the food
Well this diner has been open for sometime and we always seem to pass it up. It isn’t even something we consider and I am not sure why. It was delicious and there are so many items we want to come back and try. So sorry we have not tried until now.
Mark had the special which was the spicy chicken eggs benedict. I stole a bite while he wasn’t looking… good god that chicken was amazing!!! I went simple waffle and crispy bacon. Bacon was perfect, crispy and NOT burnt… soo good. I was able to get a side of this strawberry butter they have… this was a perfect blend of butter and fruit. Mark was in love with the hash browns and bloody mary. The bloody mary mix was better than recent ones he has had. The staff was TOP NOTCH. Friendly without being in your face and checked back the perfect amount of times. Overall – wonderful Sunday Brunch!
Mark and I love to breakfast on the weekends. Unless it is raining you will find us riding into breakfast on the Harley. We do not repeat dine very often because there are just so many places to try these days. However, we do end up coming to the same location 2 times in the same a weekend from time to time when we know the kids will love a certain restaurant.
After more than 20 years of dreaming and creating meals I look for inspiration for new dishes when we eat out. Maybe these reviews might inspire a new dish or two for you and your family.
