motorcycles & muffins…

There’s “muffin” going on… but baking!

Saturday mornings are for motorcycle rides and breakfast. Sunrise was gorgeous and the weather was perfect for a ride, before it got too hot! Today we ventured out to Melbourne to find Mulberry Lane. We heard they had some scrumptious homemade muffins so of course we had to get some. Beautiful ride on the bike over the water… no dolphins this morning though.

The restaurant on the outside and the inside for that matter is nothing fancy. However, these little diners shine because of the staff and the food. Mulberry lane did not disappoint. The staff was on top of their game, but not in your face. The coffee was standard, black and always full… perfect. Mimosa offerings were aplenty… none for Mark he was driving the bike. We both ordered dishes that had bagels, which they offered buttered and grilled (my favorite).

Normal people don’t order appetizers for breakfast… but we do! If biscuits and gravy are offered we have to sample. These biscuits were fluffy, and the gravy was good. Personally, we think the standard breakfast gravy ALWAYS needs more pepper.

Muffins – we grabbed four to go. The littles and I sampled when we got home. OH MY GOODNESS!!! These were ridiculous!! I mean they were no Jordan Marsh blueberry but they were of the same quality!! We will be back… even if it is just to pick up some muffins.

Sand Grits – listed on the menu below… they sound amazing!
