Charcuterie Boards and Family Movie Night
Weekends are for charcuterie boards and movies. They usually start off simple and get very out of control in this house! We paired this board with a classic movie… The Sixth Sense. Happy to report the kids both liked the movie and so far NO NIGHTMARES! Also, we had very little left overs from this board.
Charcuterie Boards have NO RULES
Show me the rules where it says we can only have meats and cheeses on a charcuterie board! Nope… no rules! Everyone contributes to the board and when this happens our charcuterie board becomes more of a “smor·gas·bord”!!! We ended up with everything from caviar and snails to chocolate and figs.
What would be your idea of a great charcuterie board? What are your favorites? What a great gift for teachers or host… get them a great charcuterie board and gift card to a local market… BOOM holidays are done!
Charcuterie BEFORE
It is a good idea to take a picture of the items you are putting on the board before hand. We like to do this to remember what was consumed, so it is easier to repurchase items for future boards. For example, the boy LOVED the brie so we will be getting this again!
Charcuterie FAVORITES
These are MY favorites from this board. This chocolate if you have not tried it… is out of this world! Let’s talk about these toasts… they are so good with FIG jam and habanero cheese on top. I have definitely changed tastes as I am getting older because no way would I have had the toast or the fig jam years ago. Look at my being all “grown up”…. haha.

DRINKS / SPIRITS and other good choices
Pairing your spirits to match your board, should you or shouldn’t you? Well when you have no rules on the board… then there are no rules for pairing! So why not some Toxic Waste and Alien Snot? Love trying to find the kids some fun tonic / soda for these special evenings. For mama… guava and champagne is always the right way to go.
