Vargas Café – The BEST Cuban in the Cape! There is just something about the beach and a good cup of Cuban Coffee from a Styrofoam cup that warms my soul. Cape Canaveral has this little hidden gem that you MUST try. My only issue was the hours… I do prefer my coffee earlier than 9am, but they were worth the wait. Guava and Cheese empanadas were ON POINT. These were made fresh when we ordered so they were extra delicious. So if you find your self in the area… give them a try, you will NOT be disappointed!
We were back again and I said FUCK IT and went for the Cuban sandwich at 9am and not one part of me regretted it… amazing! Saoirse… well she got eggs and bacon (boring) but the bacon was perfectly crisped and it did come with a slice of toasted Cuban bread for the win. Mark dug into the steak sandwich and said he is pretty sure it is the best he has had. The staff was super nice and the café con leche’s were PERFECTION!’
We will be back to try the yuca fries!!!!
One of the things we love about this place is the GUAVA empanadas. I personally love anything guava – here are 2 of malarkey’s guava recipes. We make an off the charts guava bread and an amazing guava pulled pork… give them a try and remember to pin and share. cheers

They also sell a ground beef empanada – we brought the boy home 2 and he inhaled them!
The problem with the menu is that you want it all!!! This hot sauce was really good on the Cuban and the steak.
Mark ordered the steak sandwich.

Tiny’s eggs – she likes them over hard and they did just that. You would be surprised how many times this is actually not the case – lot’s of restaurants can’t seem to get this simple order right but they nailed it.
